I started playing the drums at the age of 8. After taking lessons at my local music school in Steinen I had my first gig with an artist at the age of 15. During that time I also attended many workshops including masterclasses and lessons by Gerry Brown (Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder), Domenico Russo (Andy Martin), Camille Bigeault, Alain Ackermann and Rafi Woll.
While attending college I took lessons from Ramon Kündig who is a member of the philharmonic orchestra lucerne.
By this time I already was a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Canton of Schwyz, one of the most highly regarded youth orchestras in switzerland. With this orchestra I played gigs in Ukraine where we also played in the Philharmony in Kiew.
At the age of 18 I got a job offer giving me the opportunity to work as a drum teacher and band coach at my local music school where I started my journey as a drummer, teaching drums until summer 2025 and still working as a band coach there .
I already played with the Dixieland Jazz Band «Keep Swingin’ Five» (playing with Kari Schorno and Bruno Sifrig) and also played with singer-songwriter Lara Friedrich (Co-writing with Nickless, BRUNETTE). I’m now active as a sub drummer in different orchestras all across Switzerland and for different bands and projects.
Since 2025 I’m playing with Hobotrain (with Franz Arnold) (ZH), Irish Band Malin Head (SZ) and Jazz Contrast (SZ) a Jazzformation with Richard Jasinski as musical director. Next to that i'm teaching drum lessons to beginner and intermediate drummers.
Electronics
in 2025 i startet incorporating electronics in my own projects. Taking lessons with Jwan Steiner i further learned working with roland equipment and ableton. Using my laptop to run backing- and clicktracks gives me more possibilites to manage and shape live-shows. Playing with a click is an essential skill i acquired through that.
By being able to use daws such as Fl Studio i can create and shape drumsamples if necessary to suit the individual need of the song.
